Will Tyson Fury end up in WWE?

Tyson Fury has declared that he is ‘still looking’ Dillian Whyte, who he has branded a coward, as their world heavyweight title fight moves closer.

Fury’s promoter Frank Warren won the purse bid to stage their mandatory title fight for Fury’s world heavyweight belt, and Whyte has since gone silent about the deal.

Contracts are still being worked out, with a press conference expected in the coming weeks to officially launch the fight after Warren’s record-breaking £31million offer.

But Whyte has decided to stay quiet on social media as he trains quietly and awaits a signature on the deal, which will come in the next few days.

And that has irked Fury, who branded him a coward in a new social media video where he said: “It’s happy Thursday, I’m back grinding.

“I’m all the time grinding, never stop, I’m still looking for this little sucker Dillian Whyte.

“Where are you coward, where are you Whyte feathers, come out and fight me dosser.

“Talked about a lot didn’t he; ‘he won’t fight this, he won’t fight that’, who’s the coward now coward? Who’s the s***house now?

“You useless dosser.”

It’s the latest in what has been essentially a verbal tirade from Fury on Whyte, who has aside from the words “just work” and the occasional post-training video has said nothing on the fight.

Fury said in Dubai recently that he feels he can beat his rival, with whom he has sparred on a number of occasions, easily – even if Whyte were given a host of advantages.

“I don’t know,” Fury replied when asked by Dubai Eye 103.8 about his gameplan for the fight. “Whatever I feel like on the night really.

“I don’t pay these bums too much attention to be fair, whatever I feel like on the night.

“Any way or style I can definitely beat Dillian Whyte, even if I put one hand behind my back and one foot off the floor I still beat him.”

The common theory around Whyte’s silence after waiting over 1,000 days for his shot at the belt is that he is steering clear of comment until contracts are signed.

Eddie Hearn has said that he believes the contract being sent to Whyte will not be the standard one sent to a mandatory challenger after a purse bid, which will cause delays.

Hearn is not directly involved with Whyte, but has worked as his promoter for his last few pay-per-view headline shows in the UK.

“There’s a standard purse bid contract they should just send,” Hearn told iFL TV today.

“That’s standard involved with all purse bids but they’ll probably want to add things to it and so forth.

“I want to see him win the fight, so let’s see and hope those guys both get in the ring.”
