Tyson Fury has suggested Anthony Joshua and turned down a lucrative step-aside offer and dropped his strongest hint yet that he will fight Dillian Whyte next.

Reports this week have claimed Joshua has been offered a huge step-aside offer to allow Olesksandr Usyk to fight Fury first to crown the heavyweight division’s first unified champion since Lennox Lewis.

Fury meanwhile had until 6pm Wednesday evening to agree terms for a WBC title defence against Whyte, the mandatory challenger for the belt.

The pair have since been given an extra 48 hours to freely negotiate following an extension request from both camps.

The delayed period had granted Fury’s team more time to negotiate a deal with Joshua to give up his rematch with Usyk to pave the way for the unification fight.

But in his latest video shared on Instagram Fury sent a warning to Whyte, suggesting his focus is now on a showdown with the Brixton heavyweight.

‘I can’t wait to punch Dillian Whyte’s face right in,’ Fury said.

‘I’m going to give him the best hiding he’s ever had in his life, boy. Dillian Whyte, train hard sucker, because you’re getting annihilated, bum.’

That message came after another video from Fury on Wednesday night where he appeared to suggest Joshua had turned down the lucrative step-aside offer.

Fury took aim and the former champion and his promoter Eddie Hearn, labelling the pair worst ‘business in history’ for walking away from an offer he claimed to be worth £66m.

‘Had to do this video,’ Fury said.

‘Eddie Hearn and Anthony Joshua have got to be the worst-damn businessmen in history. Today they lost $90 million! God-damn son of a bitches!’
