Undefeated Fury is expected to fight WBC mandatory challenger in the early months of next year and there won’t be a rematch clause in the champion’s contract

Frank Warren has revealed there will not be a rematch clause in the contract for Tyson Fury ‘s clash against Dillian Whyte next year.
Fury is set to defend his WBC heavyweight title against mandatory challenger Whyte – who holds the interim title – in February or March.
The WBC declared Whyte as Fury’s next opponent last week after an arbitration case between the ‘Body Snatcher’ and the organisation was put to rest.
Warren expects the Principality Stadium in Cardiff to host the fight, due to the ongoing football season making hosting it at other venues problematic.
And Whyte won’t be forced to give Fury a second fight if he does upset the odds in their fight.

“No, we’ll just get it on. I don’t think we’ll need a rematch,” Warren told talkSPORT.
“First of all, of course it’s a stadium fight but to put it in any stadium that doesn’t have a roof and unfortunately none of them have got roofs other than Cardiff.
“That’s where we are. March is, we won’t exactly be out in our shorts will we?
“And football season is on, so that will be a problem with nearly all the grounds. So, Cardiff would look to be the favourite.”
Whyte has been waiting for his shot at the WBC belt since winning the ‘Silver’ title against Robert Helenius in 2017.
The 33-year-old lost his interim title in a shock defeat by Alexander Povetkin last August, but avenged his loss to the Russian to win back his belt in March.
Fury’s team tried to persuade Anthony Joshua to step aside from his rematch with Oleksandr Usyk to force an undisputed title fight but have since conceded in their efforts.

Matchroom Boxing boss Eddie Hearn has criticised Fury’s promoters for requesting an 80-20 split for the fight in favour of the champion.
And Hearn doesn’t think the agreement will be completed until purse bids are ordered by the WBC.
“I feel like we should be aware of what the split is because that will only become apparent when the purse bid is ordered,” Hearn told Behind the Gloves.
“But how can you negotiate a fight when you don’t know what the purse split is for the mandatory? Top Rank want it to be 80-20 whereas we want it to be 55-45 which is the high end of the interim champion.
“We will see where it lands but they will offer us 80-20 and we will be pushing for a split that we think is fairer. So I think it will be very difficult to achieve a deal until those splits are determined.”
