Where does Tyson Fury’s win leave the world heavyweight scene?
Tyson Fury has been told he has a “lack of boxing skills” by rising heavyweight star Frank Sanchez who would be confident of knocking out the champion.
The ‘Gypsy King’ had another sensational victory against Deontay Wilder last year as he maintained his undefeated record.
He is now looking to have a more active year with bouts against the likes of Dillian Whyte and the winner of Anthony Joshua’s rematch against Oleksandr Usyk lined up.
But heavyweight Sanchez believes he can beat the best in the division and is eyeing future shots at Fury and Usyk.
“I want the best right now,” Sanchez told ES News when asked about a showdown with Fury. “I will knock him out easily. He has no boxing skills.

“Usyk is even easier, Usyk has movement, but he doesn’t have the technique that I do.”
Sanchez recorded his latest victory on New Year’s Day when he recorded a comfortable points victory over Christian Hammer on the undercard of Luis Ortiz’s battle with Charles Martin.
The ‘Cuban Flash’ is coached by Trainer of the Year Eddy Reynoso who is helping to build on the star’s potential as his undefeated streak of 20 fights rolls on.
Reynoso boasts an incredible stable of boxing talent including Andy Ruiz Jr and pound-for-pound king Canelo Alvarez with whom Sanchez has sparred.
Working with Alvarez has been a great learning curve according to Sanchez who has developed a new passion for the sport after working with the leading star.
“I was very motivated by seeing Canelo supporting me at ringside,” he continued. “He’s very serious and very respectful both with me and his work ethic.
“The biggest lesson that I learned from him is the fact that it doesn’t matter whether you’re training or you’re inside the ring, that you got to be serious about your craft, that you got to follow it with passion.

“That’s the main thing that I took away from being around Canelo, someone that I appreciate a lot.”
Fury is unlikely to face Sanchez in the near future as he focuses on the task at hand which is set to be a mandatory defence against Whyte.
The purse splits have now been ordered at 80 percent in Fury’s favour with a deal set to be negotiated in the coming weeks.
The British star’s promoter Bob Arum has claimed Ruiz and Robert Helenius are being lined up as alternative opponents if a defence against Whyte fails to come into fruition.
A deal could be difficult to negotiate the pair with Arum also claiming that Whyte is planning to demand a purse of £10million for the mandatory shot.
However Fury’s co-promoter Frank Warren expects the Whyte fight to be shelved until after his initial return due to Whyte’s ongoing arbitration with the WBC.
