DUBAI, 15th February, 2023 (WAM) — The UAE Pro League held on Tuesday the technical meeting for the UAE Super Cup, which will be held under the slogan of “Emirati Super” and will take place between Al Ain and Sharjah at Al Maktoum Stadium on 25th February.
The meeting was chaired by UAE Pro League CEO Waleed Al Hosani and attended by representatives of both clubs, the referees’ committee, Dubai Police, the private security company, the ambulance, and the working teams from the various departments of the UAE Pro League and Al Nasr club.
The meeting reviewed the two teams’ logistical, technical, organisational, and media arrangements.
It was agreed during the meeting that Al Ain will be on the left side of the main stand in an all-white kit, while Sharjah will be on the right side of the main stand in an all-red kit.
According to Article No.15 of the UAE Super Cup competition regulation, the game will go straight to penalty shootouts, without extra time, if the regular time ends in a draw.
The official training sessions for both teams will be held at Al Maktoum Stadium on Friday, 24th February, with a full hour-time dedicated to each team.
Sharjah’s training will start at 18:30, while Al Ain’s training session will kick off at 19:45. The first 15 minutes of each training will be open to media representatives.
It was decided the stadium’s gates will be open for the fans at 18:30. The UAE Pro League will organise several accompanying events and entertainment shows for fans in Al Maktoum stadium’s surrounding area.
It will set up prize draws, presented by Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank, at half-time, and valuable prizes provided by the UAE Pro League.
The UAE Pro League has previously announced that tickets for the 15th edition of the UAE Super Cup are available for online purchase through its official website (uaeproleague.ae), and Platinumlist website.
