Brandon Kings starred in the match as the Windies opener scored a run-a-ball 112. Sharmarh Brooks contributed 44 as well during a 91-run stand with Kings while pacer Keemo Paul took 3/34 to lead the bowling pack. Dominic Drakes, Odean Smith, and Yannic Cariah took two wickets each as UAE were bundled out for 202 in 47.1 overs.
For UAE, Ali Naseer contributed a half-century (58) while opener Vriitya Aravind scored a 77-ball 44 while the side lost their first three wickets by 100 runs. Among bowlers, Ayan Afzal Khan, Zahoor Khan, and Rohan Mustafa took a wicket apiece.
West Indies arrived in the Gulf Nation after drawing away the ODI series in South Africa 1-1, which also ended their chances of directly qualifying for the ODI World Cup in India, slated in October-Novemeber later this year.
