Alexandre Pantoja makes a major statement, wasting no time in scoring a tapout of Alex Perez.
Alexandre Pantoja now has gotten himself one step closer to a UFC flyweight title shot, thanks to a 91-second victory over former title challenger Alex Perez at UFC 277.
Pantoja came out with a flurry, pressuring Perez, who attempted to get the fight to the ground.

Pantoja countered his grappling, however, and got to Perez’s back standing. Pantoja eventually made his way into backpack position and forced a submission via neck crank.
Pantoja, who came into this bout ranked No. 4 at flyweight, now has won three straight and four of five.
