UFC 284: Who is Elves Brenner?

Elves Brenner is set to make his UFC debut against a tough opponent.

The main event of UFC 284 is being billed as the battle that will determine the best pound-for-pound fighter in all MMA as Islam Makhachev is set to defend the UFC lightweight championship against UFC featherweight champion, Alexander Volkanovski. While these two men stand center stage, others like Elves Brenner will make their UFC debut during the show.

Brenner hails from Brazil and brings a 13-3 professional record to the Octagon. All his career was spent fighting on the regional circuit in his home country, competing for organizations like Predator FC, Future MMA, Mr. Cage, and others. He brings a two-fight win streak into this battle and has won two of his last four.

Brenner started his career back in 2016 and rattled off nine straight wins before suffering his first defeat. Since then, he’s found his way to getting his hand raised again but has struggled to maintain that momentum to pick up anything more than back-to-back wins.

Zubaira Tukhugov is looking to keep his momentum heading in the right direction

Brenner’s first UFC battle will be a tough test against Zubaira Tukhugov. Tukhugov comes with UFC experience, as he’s stepped into the Octagon seven times before UFC 284. He’s picked up five wins while dropping two during his time with the promotion. Those wins came against Douglas Silva de Andrade, Ernest Chavez, Phillipe Nover, Kevin Aguilar, and Ricardo Ramos at UFC 267.
