There aren’t many worse places to hide out when you’re on the run than the front yard of a UFC champion.

Especially when that champ is Sean Strickland.

The controversial UFC middleweight champion posted a video on Instagram in which he confronts a man who was hiding out in front of his house after allegedly “stomping out a girl.”

Strickland then appears to hold the man at gunpoint and shove him to the ground before he was arrested.

“Here’s what I know,” Strickland wrote on Instagram.

“The guy was drunk stomping out a girl, a security guard seen it, he jumped in his car and drove off. Security followed him, hit a curb, completely shredded his tire, drove on the rim for awhile then jumped out and tried to hide at my house. I initially thought he was stealing my car. He was arrested.”

At UFC 293 in September, Strickland pulled off a shocking upset of Israel Adesanya to become UFC middleweight champion.

He also has found himself in the news quite often lately for his controversial views.

Last week, he weighed in on comments from fighter-turned-OnlyFans star Paige VanZant that she made more money online in a day than during her career in the octagon, with the champ saying that “women’s MMA is lame,” and that “men will pay more to see you naked than to watch you fight.”

He also ripped into Canada for the country having “no guns, no freedom of speech,” after UFC president Dana White announced Strickland would be headlining UFC 297 in Toronto in January.

This also is not the first time that a UFC fighter has had a run-in with an alleged trespasser. In 2020, UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones chased an alleged attempted car thief away from his home with a shotgun.
