Paddy Pimblett talks Jake Paul callout

It’s no secret Paddy Pimblett loves his food and the UFC star has been hilariously compared to the fictional Austin Powers character ‘Fat B****rd’.

Pimblett is a self-proclaimed ‘foodie’ who is known for piling on weight in between fights. The Liverpudlian said he wouldn’t binge eat following his win at UFC London in March, but broke his promise after putting on 40lbs in less than two weeks.

Whilst Pimblett admits desserts are usually his kryptonite, he recently scoffed a triple cheeseburger whilst appearing on former UFC heavyweight Brendan Schaub’s ‘Food Truck Diaries’. Schaub then went on to tell the UFC star he would look like the fictional character if he keeps up his eating habits.

“When you retire daddy… and you keep eating like this. You’ll look like fat b****rd,” Schaub jokingly said. Pimblett then laughed at the comment whilst quoting the character’s infamous catchphrase, “I know, get in ma belly!”.

Pimblett admitted he fully expects to pile on the pounds when he eventually retires from the sport.

He added. “I’ve got a rule though, you’re not that fat if you can see your own d***. As long as you can see down past your belly, you’re fine.”

Pimblett stocked up his fridge with doughnuts and cheesecakes whilst also binging on easter eggs following his submission win against Kazula Vargas in the English capital. When weighing in at 155-pounds for his fights, Pimblett has a lean frame with a visible six pack but admits he is happier being “fat”.

“I’d rather be fat and happy than ripped. These people who are ripped all year round are not happy, I don’t care what they say. This six-pack is sound, I look great but I’d rather be fat and happy,” he said.

Pimblett is one of the UFC’s biggest personalities and has become a fan favourite after just two fights in the promotion. He played a large part in the UFC London event drawing a $4.5million gate, but was guaranteed the promotion’s lowest salary package for his fight.

The 27-year-old has started his 40lb weight loss journey ahead of his next fight, which will likely take place on the UFC’s return to London in July. Leaked UFC fight cards revealed the promotion are planning to match Pimblett against Ottman Azaitar for his next fight.
