UFC Vegas 59: Thiago Santos vs. Jamahal Hill live results [UPDATED].
At UFC Vegas 59, Thiago Santos will have to work to defend his spot and earn his way back to another light heavyweight title shot, while Jamahal Hill gets the biggest opportunity to present himself as a legitimate top contender.
The two 205-pound fighters will face off in the main event of UFC Vegas 59.
Santos’s fortunes haven’t been quite the same since coming up short in a controversial split-decision loss to Jon Jones at UFC 239. That loss to Jones marked the start of his current low streak where he has lost four of his last five. He most recently fought at UFC Vegas 50 in March, dropping a decision to Magomed Ankalaev.
Hill has won 10 of his 12 professional MMA bouts and has won back-to-back fights since suffering his sole defeat. Hill scored a 48-second knockout of Jimmy Crute in December before a knockout of Johnny Walker in just under three minutes at UFC Vegas 48 in February.
UFC Vegas 59 will also feature the finale fights of The Ultimate Fighter season 30. The heavyweight final will feature Mohammed Usman, brother of UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman, facing Zac Pauga. At women’s flyweight, it will be Brogan Walker-Sanchez taking on Juliana Miller.
Welterweights Vicente Luque and Geoff Neal do battle in the co-main event.
