UFC Vegas 65: Jack Della Maddalena is the fighter to watch

Jack Della Maddalena is looking to make it 13 straight wins at UFC Vegas 65.

Jack Della Maddalena, who fights out of Perth, Australia, hasn’t lost since 2016 and is coming off his 12th straight win at UFC 275 in June. Maddalena will be facing Danny “Hot Chocolate” Roberts, who is 2-1 in his last three.

Jack Della Maddalena started off his fighting career going 0-2, and after making some changes, has rattled off 12 straight. While fighting for some other organizations like Cage Warriors, Maddalena compiled a 9-0 record before getting the call for Dana White’s Contender Series. Maddalena defeated current welterweight Ange Loosa by a unanimous decision to earn a contract and then went on to knock out both Pete Rodriguez and most recently Ramazan Emeev, the biggest win of his young career.

Jack Della Maddalena only wants to get better, and for him, that entails fighting anyone who poses a threat to his winning streak. Maddalena is no stranger to taking tough fights, as the records of his opponents are 82-21 leading into Saturday night. Maddalena also likes to stay active, taking at least two fights a year since 2016 and hoping for four this year, but only able to get three heading into 2023.

Jack Della Maddalena faces another vet with a ton of experience in Danny Roberts this weekend. Roberts is 7-5 in the UFC, currently coming off a loss to Francisco Trinaldo, and is looking to avoid the second losing streak of his career. With a win over Roberts, Maddalena is hoping to line himself up with a top-15 opponent and fight in his home this February when the UFC goes back to Perth, Australia.
