Inspired by the much-loved Tommy’s Margarita, or “Picante de la casa”, London-based streetwear imprint PICANTE has now unveiled its very own take on the fresh, zingy cocktail.
Created by Chris Ojeda at Soho House in West Hollywood, the picante and its reposado tequila base originally found fame inside its Miami Beach House outpost. Known for its creamy-clear hue and single Serrano chilli resting in ice with a salted rim, the drink has become one of Soho House’s most popular cocktails in locations across the globe.
Initially trialled during its collaboration launch party with Persian restaurant Berejak, PICANTE’s cocktail is made with tequila, fresh Serrano chilli, fresh lime juice and agave.
Developed in partnership with restaurant group JKS’ drinks arm, Airmail, the 150ml cans—sold as cases of 6—are best served chilled as well as tasting just as great served over rocks.
