When the latest fashion hyper-fixation – a Uniqlo built in bra tank top – finds its way onto your TikTok feed, you know it’s a case of running to the checkout to procure your size before it sells out. Uniqlo seem to have cracked the ‘vanilla girl’ code with their fashion pieces of late and, from the round mini shoulder bag (of which I have three) to the pleated wide leg trousers, I have been putty in the brand’s hands time and time again. Now, I’m coming back for more.

Uniqlo – or, as the brand is registered, Uniqlo Co., Ltd. – prides itself on its affordable, high-quality ‘LifeWear.’ Setting itself apart from fast fashion, Uniqlo’s LifeWear concept (as detailed in their 2022 sustainability report) aims to encourage slow consumerism by focusing on sustainable raw materials and a cyclical business model. To break it down, this means that fan-favourite ranges from the brand – Uniqlo Airism, HeatTech etc. – are made to perform, to last and, at the end of their life cycles, to be brought back into the production sphere with the help of RE.Uniqlo (the in-store recycling initiative responsible for the ever popular recycled down jacket). Business spiel over, I’d argue that Uniqlo is one of the few companies to successfully capture the fashion holy trinity: on-trend pieces with a durable makeup and an accessible price point.
Onto more pressing matters, the all-new Uniqlo ribbed tops with built-in-support. There are three of the tops in question currently available on-site and, with their impressive 5/5 average rating values from customers, they are selling. out. I will continue to wax lyrical about these Godsend summer pieces but, given the somewhat pressing nature of their popularity, here they are for your ease.

The tops first popped onto my radar when @eloisesoutfits‘ try on made its way onto my TikTok FYP over the weekend. Since then, the 91% cotton iteration of said sleeveless bra top has flown into shoppers baskets with only size M, size L, size XL and size XXL still available at the time of writing. Thankfully not all is lost for our size XXS and size XS readers, and there are a further two styles in the ribbed bra tops – a tank and a camisole – where buyers will find a full size range in-stock and ready to shop. Phew.
