Twitter is having a ball over a reply from Kanpur police after a video “mysterious egg-shaped shells” was shared on social media. The reply came after a Twitter post claimed that “egg-shaped shells” found in a village in Kanpur triggered “a lot of discussion” among the villagers. Police reportedly arrived at the location to ascertain the facts.
Here’s what the Twitter post in Hindi said:
“Kanpur ke Bilhaur ke ek gaon mein mile andenuma gole, graminon mein tarah-tarah ki charcha…police ke pahuchne par hua chaunkaane wala khulasa. (Egg-shaped shells found in a village of Bilhaur, Kanpur… There was a lot of speculation by the villagers… Shocking revelations came upon the arrival of the police.”
While the post generated curiosity among social media users, the mystery around the “shells” came crashing down after the Police Commissionerate Kanpur Nagar replied from its official Twitter handle.
“Kuchh bhi sandigdh nahi hai, kisi janwar ka mal hai, (Nothing suspicious, just animal feces)” the police said.
The reply went viral on social media as users found the reply hilarious.
“Dear @NASA kindly cancel your tickets, case solved by Up Police,” tweeter a user.
“Maybe dinosaur feces. Otherwise, I don’t think any animal would pass such a large solid, round stool,” replied another.
