Equipped with state-of-the-art ‘Kavach’, an indigenously built anti-collision system, the new upgraded version of Vande Bharat Express 2.0 would now be providing an entirely new experience to its passengers.

This semi-highspeed train started plying from Monday onwards between Delhi and Varanasi.
Vande Bharat Express 2.0 has new and improved facilities like more leg space, improved toilets and 180-degree revolving chairs.
Earlier this train used to operate for five days a week, excluding Monday and Thursday. But the new version i.e. Vande Bharat 2.0, has started operating on Mondays too while Thursdays have been kept as reserve day for the maintenance of the track, informed railway officials.
Passengers sitting on the modular chair with the ability to rotate up to 180 degrees in the executive class of the train described it as a wonderful earlier. With this, the train which runs five days a week, will operate for six days.
Vande Bharat 2.0 is a semi-high-speed train which reaches a speed of 0 to 100 kilometres per hour in just 52 seconds. Equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, this train has the maximum speed of 180 kmph.
According to chief public relations officer (CPRO), North Central Railways (NCR), Himanshu Shekhar Upadhyay, Vande Bharat 2.0 has 16 chair car coaches, all fitted with stainless steel car bodies. It is also fitted with Kavach (anti-collision system). Besides, high standard toilets and coach control management system have been installed for monitoring through GPRS.
