Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) is all set to begin inviting applications for recruitment to 3,055 vacant posts of various departments in the next two months. This includes 174 posts of dental surgeon and posts of other departments, said commission officials.
Presently the selection process is going on for 5,103 vacant posts, they added.
A fresh recruitment process for the vacant posts was not started immediately due to a dispute over the equivalency of academic qualifications. Correspondence over this is being held with departments concerned for the determination of academic qualification equivalence for the recruitments of LT grade (assistant teacher) in government-run schools, review officer and agriculture service, etc, informed officials of the commission aware of the matter.
UPPSC chairman Sanjay Srinet said to avoid unnecessary controversy and confusion in recruitments, henceforth the rules of the department concerned will also be mentioned in the recruitment advertisements being issued by the commission.
“This will reduce the delay caused owing to litigations over recruitments due to difference in the advertisement and rules of the department concerned,” he said while talking to media persons here on Thursday.
The Commission had issued an advertisement for recruitment against 13,110 different posts from April 1, 2022 to March 31, 2023 and out of these, the selection process for 12,236 posts has been completed till now.
During this period, 21 examinations were proposed and the commission conducted 22 recruitment examinations. Results of 10 of these recruitment exams have been declared.
Till March 31, 12,655 candidates were called for interview by the commission. Against 3,668 recommendations, 2,438 officers and employees were promoted. Disciplinary action was taken against 149 while major penalty was imposed on 145 even as services of four individuals were terminated, the UPPSC chairman added.
Candidates desirous of applying for the recruitment exams of UPPSC should get their One Time Registration or OTR done. The commission has made OTR mandatory for application of all recruitment exams being conducted by it from April 1.
Whenever a recruitment advertisement comes in future, the form can be filled in only on the basis of OTR number. So far 3,78,632 candidates have registered out of which 1,92,958 have been allotted OTR. The registration portal is still open, officials shared.
Meanwhile, UPPSC review officer Durgesh Kumar Singh and gardener Phool Chandra were honoured by chief minister Yogi Adityanath at the national conference of State Public Service Commission Chairmen held in Lucknow on April 22 and 23. On the initiative of UPPSC chairman Sanjay Srinet, employees who have done excellent service were honoured and motivated. Supreme Court judge Justice Rajesh Bindal also honoured seven personnel during the event.
