The list spans museums, landmarks, aquariums and theme parks, although any hotels or casinos were omitted from the final rankings.

For theme park fans, Walt Disney World is Florida’s must-visit (and luckily there are plenty of ways to find cheap Walt Disney World tickets ), while Six Flags in New Jersey has also proven a hit with visitors.

US travel is set to reopen to vaccinated Brits later this month. From November 8, the US will lift a 18-month-long ban for UK travellers. During that time, the country had kept its borders closed to anyone who had been in the UK within the previous 14 days.

The Grand Canyon is Arizona’s most popular attraction

In the days following the original announcement in September, airlines and travel firms saw a surge in interest and bookings. Virgin Atlantic alone saw a 91% surge in bookings within the first hour of the announcement.

New York, Los Angeles and Orlando have been amongst the top destinations of choice for Brits planning getaways.
