San Diego State and Utah State will face-off in the Mountain West Tournament final in what has been a familiar matchup over the past number of years.
From 2019-2021, these two teams met in the final in three-straight years. Utah State won in 2019 and 2020 and then San Diego State won it in 2021.
So, who will win it this time around?
Let’s take a look at the odds and then I’ll give you my best bet.

Utah State is quietly one of the best shooting teams in the country, and I think that’s going to be the difference maker in tonight’s Mountain West final. Heading into the game, the Aggies rank 8th in the country in effective field goal percentage.
By comparison, San Diego State ranks 178th in that same stat.
San Diego State plays slightly better on defense and the Aztecs have a big advantage in the turnover department, but I don’t think that will be enough to overcome the sharpshooting of Utah State in this game.
Despite being 0-2 against them this season, I’m going to back the Aggies to win tonight’s Mountain West tournament final.
