The moviemakers of Vadhandhi – The Fable of Velonie decided to release it on Amazon Prime Video on the 2nd of December 2022. The first look of the series came on 17th November and the trailer is launched on 22nd November.

Renowned South Indian actor and filmmaker S.J Suryah plays the lead role in the series, in his opposite actress Laila is cast. She is known for her works in Pithamagan, Dheena, Ullam Ketkumae, and Dhill.
Versatile actor cum filmmaker M. Nasser has joined the star cast, he is renowned in south Indian industries, and has spread his magic in some of the Hindi movies like Sala Khadoos, Phir Milenge, Rowdy Rathore, Chachi 420.

From the trailer, the plot of the series revolves around a young girl described from the different perspectives of different people including an unrelenting obsessed cop captivated by her grace.
