Picture it: You’re a celebrity. Specifically, you’re Vanessa Hudgens. You’ve been invited to not only attend the 2022 Met Gala but to host Vogue‘s red carpet live stream. You’ve been attending fittings so you look absolutely flawless in your elaborate yet almost entirely see-through black Moschino gown, and you do. And then someone in a significantly less fancy black dress has the audacity to step on the extremely long train of said Moschino gown.
This is what appears to have happened to you, A.K.A. Vanessa Hudgens, as she posed her way up the steps at New York City’s Metropolitan Museum of Art on Monday, May 2. Photographer Jeff Kravitz captured a moment in which Hudgens’s black lace train, extending several feet behind her, appeared to be unwittingly pinned under the stiletto heel of what appears to be an event employee — note the walkie-talkie.
Moments later, another photographer, Angela Weiss, captured what appeared to be that face we all make when a stranger has just apologized to us for something and we say it’s OK but it’s really not.
