'Very special' Kate Middleton made subtle alteration to Princess Diana’s engagement ring

When Prince Charles proposed to Lady Diana Spencer in 1981, the engagement rig matched the glamour of the young couple.

In terms of the ring, Diana selected it herself – apparently because it reminded her of her mother’s engagement ring, and also matched her eyes.

As a special token to his mother, Prince William decided to use the icon ring to propose to Kate.

Since he got down on one knee, the Duchess of Cambridge always wears the beautiful engagement ring, but before she could, she had to have it resized.
