The Bulls announced on Tuesday that they have waived veteran guard Goran Dragic.

Dragic has appeared in 51 games for the Bulls this season, averaging 6.4 points and 2.7 assists per contest.

At 36 years old, Dragic could try to join a contender since he remains eligible for the postseason.

Last year, Dragic played for both the Raptors and Nets. He actually gave Brooklyn a nice boost off the bench.

As for the Bulls, they clearly don’t have a need for Dragic anymore. He last touched the floor on Feb. 13 against the Magic.

Patrick Beverley, Ayo Dosunmu and Coby White have been receiving the bulk of the minutes at guard for the Bulls.

The Bulls will try to make a playoff push over the next month. At 28-33, they are right behind the Wizards for the final spot in the play-in tournament.
