Filmmaker Aanand L Rai is known for showcasing small-town stories which are easily relatable to people. Having said that, he has given us hits like Tanu Weds Manu, raanjhanaa and many more. Well, it seems like he is set to bring another beautiful story and this time, he is hoping to bring actor Vicky Kaushal on board. According to the latest reports, Vicky Kaushal is said to have been roped in for his next film which is touted to be a love story.
A source close to the development told Pinkvilla, “Aanand L Rai and Vicky Kaushal share a very warm bond right since the release of Manmarziyaan and have been keen to work together for a while now. After Atrangi Re and Raksha Bandhan, Aanand L Rai is looking to make a pure love story from the heartland of India. When he shared this thought with Vicky, the actor was extremely excited to be a part of Rai’s world,” adding further that the film will go on floors next year.
The reports further mentioned that the makers have locked the script and Aanand L Rai is currently working on the casting of the film and will soon leave for location hunting. He intends to take the film on floors sometime in mid-2023. “The hunt for the female lead is underway. Like all his previous films, this one too has a strong character full of substance for the female counterpart. Both the main leads of the film will be locked in a fortnight,” the source added.
Meanwhile, on the professional front, Vicky Kaushal will be next seen in Sam Bahadur, helmed by Meghna Gulzar. He also has Govinda Mera Naam and an untitled next with Anand Tiwari.
