Victoria Beckham is still haunted by a leather look from the ‘90s

Sometimes there’s just that one outfit you can’t stand behind, no matter how much time has passed.

For fashion designer Victoria Beckham — who is often clad in knee-high boots, long hems, and body skimming black turtleneck tops — that fashion faux pas involved a lot of leather and her husband, David Beckham.

During an appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on Monday, Victoria revisited the matching Gucci outfits that both she and David wore to a Versace dinner in the ‘90s, which is “inappropriate in itself,” she said with a laugh.

The unforgettable fashion moment was resurrected by Andy Cohen during a segment called “So Posh or Oh Gosh” segment of his show (a nod to Victoria Beckham’s past life as Posh Spice in the Spice Girls), as the designer sat with Anne Hathaway to review some of their memorable looks over the years — for better or for worse. Reflecting on the moment, she admitted there was a certain “naiveté to it that was so sweet,” but nonetheless the look “still haunts her.”

Victoria has worked to refine her image over the years, even recently removing a tattoo of her husband’s initials as her affinity for it faded. “The media started to speculate, was I leaving my husband? No. I was just a bit sick of the tattoo. It’s as simple as that,” she explained on Today earlier this month.
