Portuguese GP
Aleix Espargaró achieved a meritorious third place, Rins finished fourth and the Márquez brothers finished in sixth and seventh position, while Mir was knocked down by Jack Miller
Frenchman Fabio Quartararo sounded La Marseillaise with his victory at the Portuguese Grand Prix, his first win of the course and second podium finish after second place in Indonesia, becoming the new leader of the MotoGP championship. Aleix Espargaró was the best of the Spanish after crossing the finish line in third position, followed by the Catalan driver Álex Rins. Meanwhile, Marc Márquez finished in sixth position, just ahead of his brother Álex Márquez.
Fabio Quartararo was accompanied on the podium by his countryman Johann Zarco, who with Portugal is the current rider with the most podiums without having yet climbed to the top of the drawer. The other side of the coin went to Joan Mir, who was shot down by Jack Miller when he was already sighting his first podium finish of the season.
