The Miami Heat sent Boston Celtics fans home disappointed by earning a Game 1 win Wednesday night. A clip has some wondering if a referee also didn’t like the outcome.

Video from ESPN’s broadcast circulated on social media. During the post-game interview with Jimmy Butler, they showed footage of the Heat star making a layup. Fans noticed that official Rodney Mott appeared to grimace after the ball caromed into the basket.

Here’s a look at the video:

There might be a reasonable explanation for Mott’s reaction, but it certainly looks odd. Without any further context, he appears to react negatively to Butler scoring.

If that’s the case, he won’t be happy about Butler tallying 35 points in a 123-116 triumph at TD Garden. The Heat will attempt to continue their improbable path to the NBA Finals when playing Game 2 on Friday at 8:30 p.m. ET.

Fans are usually skeptical of referees, so Heat supporters will especially keep a close eye on the officials after seeing this video.
