Villa One™ Tequila Gardens Opens In San Diego With 4 More Locations On The Way

Well if you’re in San Diego you’re in luck as the first-ever Villa One™ Tequila Gardens opens today. The agave-fueled dining experience is a rooftop destination that will feature Villa One craft cocktails, as well as an extensive list of top tequila selections, modern Mexican fare, and sweeping views of downtown San Diego.

Villa One Tequila Gardens embraces the sentiments that embody Villa One Tequila—experiencing “Life as it Should Be™” with friends old and new. It’s a space that’s designed for creating memories, while transporting its guests to Mexico with luxurious textiles, shades of green inspired by agave fields, and accent walls with neon signs.

”When Nick and I began our journey of developing Villa One Tequila, we looked at Villa One as a special place you go that transports you, and brings joy to your life,” says Villa One co-founder John Varvatos. “It could be a cabin in the mountains, an island getaway, or a magical beach that is your happy place. From the very beginning we wanted to create a space that you go to with friends and family to celebrate special moments, but also somewhere that becomes your local oasis.” And Jonas and Varvatos believe their tequila gardens will be just that.

With more than 5,000 square feet of open-air seating surrounded by stunning views of downtown San Diego and the Coronado Bridge, Villa One Tequila Gardens provides a picturesque setting to dine and lounge with patio-style seating for up to 110 people, a communal table for socializing, fire pits, and an intimate 14-seat bar all accented by the San Diego skyline.

Featuring 160+ tequilas and mezcals Villa One Tequila Gardens is a place where guests will be encouraged to discover new favorites. Of course there’s a Villa One Tequila specialty cocktail called The Cantarito that’s made tableside with Villa One Tequila, fresh, hand-squeezed lemon, lime, orange and grapefruit juices, and served in a ceramic “jarrito” vessel.

Other signature drinks include the V1, the signature Villa One™ margarita made with fresh lime juice, prickly pear puree, house-infused castile rose simple syrup, Crème de Violette and Villa One tequila topped with lavender essence and black volcanic rock salt; as well as Carajillos, an Old Fashioned, V1 Manhattan margaritas, and much more.

For margarita lovers there’s a wide list of margaritas offering the perfect libation for any guest, and those who can’t decide can opt for a margarita flight that features multiple smaller sized drinks served side-by-side, or can choose from a curated wine list and local craft beer.

Can’t sip all that tequila without equally delicious food to soak it up. The food menu consists of fresh, flavorful Mexican cuisine designed for sharing. Expect dishes like seafood ceviches, aguachiles, tostadas, tacos, Mexican-inspired sushi rolls, and more. Signature dishes include the green and red aguachiles; prime ribeye grilled on a josper oven; birria, salmon, lobster and shrimp machaca tacos; the poblano roll filled with beef chorizo, cream cheese, jalapeño peppers and avocado topped with pico de gallo and roasted poblano crèma, and more.

Villa One Tequila Gardens will also set the mood for late-night energy, offering bottle service packages and hosting live DJs.
