As the match has ended before the scheduled days, India batter Virat Kohli took the opportunity to visit Mahakaleshwar Temple on Saturday.

Virat Kohli, the former India captain, has been undergoing a tough period in the Test series. He has scored only 111 runs so far in five innings, at a disappointing average of 22.2 runs. And after the defeat, Kohli was spotted with his wife Anushka Sharma visiting and offering prayers to the Jyotirlinga Temple in Mahakaleshwar.

Many other Indian players have also visited the temple in the past as KL Rahul recently visited the temple with his wife ahead of the third Test. Both the batters have found things difficult in the last year or so, especially in the Test format. KL Rahul was left out of the third Test and has already been stripped of his vice-captain duties.

Both Kohli and his wife Anushka were captured and the player said he came to visit the almighty and his ‘darshan’ was very satisfactory. The India batter also went to Vrindavan a few weeks back and offered his prayers there as well.

Kohli will hope to have a better outing in the final Test against Australia which starts in Ahmedabad from March 9. India lead the Border Gavaskar Trophy 2-1 and will be aiming to seal the series and strike back at the Narendra Modi stadium. If Rohit Sharma’s men avoid defeat, they will book a place for the WTC final in June, where they will meet Australia again.
