Tasty new frothies are coming soon as Nail Brewing has successfully acquired Myaree’s Billabong Brewing.

Nail is well-known for producing award-winning beers with its VPA a common place-holder in venues around the State.

Nail owner and head brewer John Stallwood says “Billabong is a brewery with rich history in W.A. and a great addition to the Nail family”.

The announcement comes off the back of both breweries winning gold and bronze medals at the Royal Queensland Beer Awards, from a pool of 95 entrants.

While the Nail team has been working on moving into the Billabong site for a few weeks, the venue is still open to the public and will remain known as Billabong Brewing.

Renovations have begun at the Myaree location and will continue over the coming months, with the team hoping to complete the project by September. It will boast a 1200L brewhouse, ideal for developing and producing unique, limited edition bevvies. Nail Brewing marketing manager Tim Milroy says Billabong offers a great hospitality venue to showcase Nail’s beers.

The new space will feature a range of Nail’s award-winning beers as well as bring back iconic fan-favourites, such as the Clout Stout, last produced in 2017.

“The acquisition of Billabong means we can grow our portfolio, and experiment with different styles of beers and flavour profiles”, Milroy said.
