WaBa Grill has permanently added tacos with boom boom sauce to its menu, according to a news release from the Anaheim Hills-based chain.
Boom Boom Tacos are made with soft tortillas that are a blend of corn and flour with a choice of five proteins: chicken, shrimp, steak, plant-based steak and tofu. They are then topped with crunchy slaw, green onions and a spicy sauce.
Tacos are sold individually for $2.39-$3.49, based on a spot check of the chain’s website, or $6.99-$9.99 for trios. Trios can be mixed and matched.
WaBa Grill tested the tacos at 14 locations in Los Angeles, Orange and San Bernardino counties in March.
Founded in 2006, WaBa Grill is known for its rice bowls, plates and salads.
