Wahlburgers Will Open Exciting New Location On The Las Vegas Strip

Wahlburgers is not just another burger spot. This restaurant chain has developed a fervent following, in part because it is the creation of Chef Paul Wahlberg and his brothers Mark Wahlberg and Donnie Wahlberg, but also because they are known for making a pretty mean burger.

This restaurant is about to get even more star appeal as it opens another location in a rather glitzy spot. Wahlburgers will be opening their second location on the Las Vegas Strip in late March. The latest incarnation will be found inside Mandalay Bay at The Shoppes at Mandalay Place.

“Las Vegas is my new hometown and I’m really invested in this community,” said Mark Wahlberg in an interview. “I’ve fallen in love with Las Vegas and when we found an opportunity to open a second Wahlburgers on the Las Vegas Strip, my brothers and I jumped on it.” As for the location, there is a rather sweet reason for that as well. “Mandalay Bay has always been one of my favorite hotels in Vegas and it’s a great place for Wahlburgers. I also like having a reason to see my brothers more, and with two Wahlburgers in Las Vegas, they’ll be spending more time here,” he said.

The Mandalay Bay Wahlburgers will be huge, at 5,000 square feet, and besides great food and a bar, it’ll have HDTVs spaced throughout the restaurant. “This new Wahlburgers is a great place to watch sporting events. It has a really cool bar and TVs everywhere you look. It also has a great happy hour vibe, so we think it’s going to be a place to grab burgers and hang out with friends,” said Donnie Wahlberg in an interview.

The second Vegas location just made sense, for a lot of reasons. “The first location (in Vegas) opened seven years ago at Bally’s and since that time we’ve hosted something like four million guests,” said Mark Wahlberg. “People visit Las Vegas from all over the world and we love that Wahlburgers has been a memorable part of the Vegas experience for so many. This new location is on the opposite end of the Las Vegas Strip and we think people are going to love it.”

This global chain, which began in Hingham, Massachusetts in 2011, is based on family recipes, and there’s certain signature menu items that will always be on the menu. This includes Chef Paul’s signature burgers, such as the Our Burger, which is made with a 1/3-pound beef burger patty, “government cheese” (it’s actually premium American cheese), lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles and Paul’s housemade Wahl Sauce; as well as signature salads and chicken sandwiches, and much more. “The selection at Wahlburgers at Mandalay Place is true to our core menu, with dishes inspired by the meals we ate as a family growing up,” said Chef Paul Wahlberg in an interview. “Of course this is Vegas, so we had to up the ante for guests visiting us on the strip. We’ll be offering an exclusive new burger with an 8 oz beef patty stacked with duck confit jam, pickled onions, arugula, balsamic glaze, truffle aioli and fontina. It’s a hearty and indulgent burger that perfectly complements the Vegas experience,” he said.

But being in Vegas is all about those big events, and Walburgers is prepared. “Las Vegas has become a big sports town and we’re embracing that with this new Wahlburgers. We’re going to have watch parties and look forward to being the go-to spot for big sporting events,” said Paul Wahlberg.

There’s a lot more to come for this team, and that includes more in Las Vegas. “We’re looking downtown for our next Las Vegas Wahlburgers; which has a cool vibe all its own. Some of the best nightlife is now in Downtown Las Vegas, which is now home to a really cool restaurant and bar scene, including local breweries. Wahlburgers would be a great addition and we’re eyeing a couple of potential locations,” said Donnie Wahlberg.
