Pitso Mosimane is officially a Saudi Arabian First Division champion with Al Ahli following Tuesday’s 1-0 win over Al-Qadsiah.

In doing so, Al Ahli became the 2022-23 champs with a game to spare, and this was Mosimane’s first ever title outside of the African continent.
Now, Mosimane has reacted to winning the First Division and delivering on the mandate he was given nine months ago by Al Ahli.

Well, he went into Tuesday’s game against Al-Qasidah having already achieved promotion to the Saudi Pro League, and this title serves a cherry on top.
In his reaction, Mosimane appeared to be hinting at possibly leaving Al Ahli now that he has accomplished his mission with a ‘waiting for the next project’ text.

“Delivered on our mandate of promoting the team to Premier League,and tonight of winning the Championship! In any League or Competition, Country or Continent, we catch Big Fish! Nile River before and tonight in the Red Sea. Waiting for the next Project,” wrote Mosimane on his Twitter.
REPORTS OF PITSO MOSIMANE POSSIBLY LEAVING AL AHLI AREN’T NEW
Mosimane’s comments may well be a confirmation of media reports that surfaced last week in what came as a shock to football fans in South Africa.

At the time, Al Ahli were reported to be not keen to take up the one-year option they have on Mosimane’s contract but there hasn’t been any confirmation from either parties.
But with his latest comments, this could probably signal the end of marriage between Mosimane and Al Ahli barely a year since it started.
