Warner Bros. Discovery has announced new programming during the festive season across its three animation channels – Cartoon Network, Pogo, and Discovery Kids. Starting October 22, new episodes and movies featuring popular animated characters will air on the channel.
On Cartoon Network, the festival of lights will be celebrated with “Teen Titans Go! Diwali Celebrations” which will come with brand-new episodes of its popular superhero comedy series, Teen Titans Go, from October 22, 11:30 am onwards. Digimon Adventure will also premiere on the channel in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu on October 24 at 8 pm. The 2020 anime is produced by Toei Animation and is a reboot of the original 1999 anime series of the same name.
Pogo will see a Diwali Cinema Wali block featuring movies from popular Indian animated shows such as Ekans: Snakes Awake!, Titoo – Har Jawaab Ka Sawaal Hu and Chhota Bheem. These will air on the channel every day at 12:30 pm throughout Diwali week. Brand new movies such as Ping Pong ki Circus starring Titoo and Mahavinashi ka Vinash featuring Chhota Bheem and his gang will air on October 22 and 23, respectively.
Finally, Discovery Kids will air Little Singham movies every day at 11:30 am from October 22. Mahabali Little Singham: Badhta Khatra and Mahabali Little Singham: Mirchigad Par Hamla are two mini-series that will air on October 22 and 30, respectively. A new 3D tele-feature Legend of Shervansh will also make its premiere on the channel on October 23 at 11:30 am.
Speaking about the Diwali line-up, Warner Bros. Discovery’s Uttam Pal Singh, head of kids cluster – South Asia, said, “This Diwali, we’re bringing an exciting slate of action-packed movies and episodes of fan favourites across POGO, Discovery Kids and Cartoon Network. We are sure to surpass all expectations with the new and Diwali themed specials from popular shows that the kids and their families can enjoy as they celebrate the festivities together.”
Making the celebration even sweeter, Discovery Kids is bringing kids closer to their beloved supercop – Little Singham with its recently announced Little Singham Fan Fest. The on-ground initiative with exciting games and workshops promises a grand fiesta for little fans of the show across Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Bangalore, Pune, Ahmedabad, and Lucknow.
