For the last 12 years, Bob Myers has been an executive for the Golden State Warriors.
In 2011, he was an assistant GM when the Warriors added Klay Thompson to a roster that already included Stephen Curry and Draymond Green. Three years later, Myers made the move from Mark Jackson to Steve Kerr as head coach, kickstarting a dynasty.
The 48-year-old Myers’ contract expires next month, and he told ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski that he plans on taking “a couple of weeks to make a decision about his future.”
“It’s a decision that he says he is torn about, I think large part because of his relationships with the ‘Core 3’ of Steph Curry, Draymond Green and Klay Thompson, and his coach Steve Kerr,” Wojnarowski told Mike Greenberg on Sunday afternoon.
“Four championships under Bob Myers, and an organization where he just carries a tremendous amount of weight and respect. You heard all the key players and their coach talk about how badly they want Bob Myers back. He’s not there yet on a decision.”

The Warriors are going to have some important roster decisions to make in the coming years. Green has a player option for 2023-24, and Thompson is also set to be a free agent after next season.
Obviously, they would like to have Myers back leading the way through these changes. We’ll see if he feels the same.
