The Koschei Complex is one of the more foreboding exclusion zones for Warzone 2 DMZ, and this remains the case for Season 4. Though many of you may be hesitant to infill into the complex via Al Mazrah, there are a few missions that will require you to head here. Such is the case for Bottom Of The Barrel, a mission that will see you gaining entry to a secret locked room – just like you did for X Marks The Spot.
Bottom Of The Barrel is a Tier 3 Mission for the Crown faction, consisting of three objectives to be fulfilled. To complete this mission, you will need to trade the Shopkeeper a bottle of liquor in exchange for the keycode, enter the code into the locked room keypad in the Alpha Cluster entrance, and then extract the research documents from the room. Completing this mission will reward you with the Crown Sigel emblem and 10,000 XP.
Trading The Shopkeeper A Bottle Of Liquor In Exchange For The Keycode
To fulfill the first objective of Bottom Of The Barrel, you will be tasked with trading the Shopkeeper a bottle of liquor in exchange for the keycode. The Shopkeeper is an unknown character that can be found within the Factory Admin portion of Koschei Complex. However, before heading to one of the Al Mazrah bunker entrances, we recommend grabbing a bottle of liquor in Al Mazrah first. Liquor can sometimes be found in regular fridges. However, fridges within restaurants and the distillery near Sariff Bay yield a high chance of containing one.
Once you have secured a liquor bottle, head on over to one of the four Al Mazrah bunker entrances and infill into Koschei Complex. From here, progress over to the Chemical Treatment Plant – as you would have done for the Bedrock Faction Mission. You should not have too much trouble heading to the plant, as there are a series of red arrows within the complex that guide you to this area.
The blast doors leading to the Chemical Treatment Plant within Information Extraction and External Ops will require a set of Jumper Cables and a Car Battery in order to open it.
Now you will need to locate the Shopkeeper within the Factory Admin portion of the complex. The Factory Admin is a locked portion of the complex accessed from the north side of the Chemical Treatment Plant. If you are the first one here then you may need to gather one of two Factory Admin Keys. One key will always spawn within one of the air ducts on the outskirts of the plant. The second will be dropped by an Al Qatala soldier within this area.
Once you have one of two keys, progress to the north side of the plant and unlock the A/1 or A/2 blast doors. Take out the Sentry Turret awaiting you and then progress onwards towards the Factory Admin area. You will find the Shopkeeper over on the east side of Factory Admin.
All that is left now is to deposit the bottle of liquor into the Shopkeeper’s Dead Drop. Doing so will complete the first portion of this mission.
Entering The Code Into The Locked Room Keypad In The Alpha Cluster Entrance
To fulfill the second objective of Bottom Of The Barrel, you will need to enter the code into the locked room keypad in the Alpha Cluster entrance. Upon delivering a bottle of liquor to the Shopkeeper Dead Drop, a document will be dispensed from it. This item will detail a three-digit code that will be used to unlock a locked room near the Alpha Cluster.
The room you are looking for is located just beyond the C/1 blast door leading to the Alpha Cluster – which you may need to unlock by powering the fusebox next to the door with Jumper Cables and a Car Battery. The locked room can be identified by its keypad, and is located within a cubby to the left-hand side of the C/1 blast door entrance.
Simply input the code into the keypad to the right of the locked room’s door. Doing so will unlock the locked room, thus completing the second part of this mission.
The code to the locked room changes between deployments – meaning that the second part of the mission cannot be completed without first fulfilling the steps to the first.
To fulfill the final objective of Bottom Of The Barrel, you will need to extract the research documents from the locked room. The documents you are looking for are to the left of this room, sitting atop a cart. Loot this item and proceed to extraction. The nearest two exfil points can be found within the Alpha Cluster or back within the Chemical Treatment Plant.
Successfully extracting the Russian Gas Research Documents will complete the third and final portion of this mission, thus wrapping up the Bottom Of The Barrel Faction Mission.
