Ronnie O’Sullivan has given snooker fans and sports fans in general some amazing moments over his illustrious career.

The seven-time world champion has been part of some of the greatest games in snooker history, with his personality along with his outrageous ability on the table, leading to some box office incidents over the years.

Earlier today, he took on Belgian Luca Brecel in the World Snooker Championship quarterfinal and it’s safe to say, after a sloppy start, the Rocket found his flow.

Ronnie O’Sullivan v Luca Brecel: The story of the quarterfinal

Luca Brecel took an early 2-1 lead over Ronnie O’Sullivan, but in the fourth frame, a genius shot the from world number one, put his opponent in a very tricky situation.

Brecel failed to escape from the unbelievably tight angle and this was the moment that O’Sullivan took control of the game.

With the Englishman leading 4-2, he lost control of the seventh frame after fouling the black ball in extraordinary fashion. While lining up his shot, Ronnie O’Sullivan accidentally touched the black ball with his waistcoat.

Thankfully for Ronnie O’Sullivan, it wasn’t a “game changer” as described on commentary, with Luca Brecel failing to capitalise on his opponent’s mistake.

This break of 85 gave O’Sullivan a 6-2 lead heading into this evening’s session and with this sort of lead for a player like Ronnie, it would seem a place in the semifinal is almost assured.

Ronnie O’Sullivan has now won an amazing 19 of his past 23 frames and with the seven-time champion is this sort of form, who could possibly bet against him winning his eighth.
