Prime Video had earlier teased a riveting glimpse to the much-anticipated romantic drama Bawaal, while officially announcing the exclusive global premiere date for 21st July. Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala’s Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment in collaboration with Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari and Nitesh Tiwari’s Earthsky Pictures, and starring Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor, the film which is directed by the much-acclaimed Nitesh Tiwari, will premiere exclusively on Prime Video in India and across 200 countries and territories. The film marks as their first collaboration between Janhvi Kapoor and Varun Dhawan. The teaser managed to captivate fans until the end, thanks to a gripping twist that transformed what seemed like a sweet love story.

Varun took to his Instagram Story and shared a video featuring Janhvi Kapoor sitting in a restaurant, wearing a white shirt, and holding her phone. While looking at the camera, she joined in singing along with Varun Dhawan. The duo were heard singing ‘Tum Pyaar Karne Dete Toh Tumhe Kitna Pyaar Karte’. The clip concluded with Varun praising Janhvi, expressing his amazement with a cheerful “Wow.” Janhvi chuckles briefly before the video ended.
Paired on-screen for the very first time, Varun Dhawan plays Ajay Dixit, a school teacher in Lucknow, idolized by his students, and admired by everyone in town; and Janhvi Kapoor as Nisha, a bright, beautiful yet simple girl, whose only hope is to find her one true love. But love is never easy and has to passage through a war of its own! Shot in India and multiple international locales, Bawaal has a meaningful message, which is sure to resonate with audiences worldwide.
Janhvi was last seen in film Mili. In her pipeline, apart from Bawaal, she has Mr. and Mrs. Maahi in which she co-stars with Rajkummar Rao, Ulajh with Gulshan Devaiah, and Roshan Mathew. The actress will also be making her Telugu debut with Jr. NTR in Devara. The actress also recently extended her association with the upcoming Disney film The Little Mermaid. Varun on the other hand was last featured in Bhediya alongside Kriti Sanon. Helmed by Amar Kaushik, the film released on November 25, 2022. A sequel of the film was announced earlier this month. He also has the Prime Video series Citadel India alongside Samantha Ruth Prabhu. It is being helmed by Raj & DK.
