The sequins, glitter and rainbow flags have all been dusted off after three years as Australia’s second-largest celebration of all things LGBTQIA+ returns to the streets of Northbridge for Perth’s 32nd Pride Parade.
Revellers from more than 100 organisations are expected to take part on Saturday (November 26) on the new route along Aberdeen, William and James streets, with pre-parade entertainment kicking off at the Northbridge Pride Piazza from 6pm.
The undoubtedly colourful display of floats and roving performers, which starts off at 7.30pm, will lead spectators to Russell Square for a free family friendly community party with food trucks and entertainment featuring DJ Timbee, homegrown drag star Dean Misdale and the inimitable Kween Kong from RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under.
