A man was swallowed by a sinkhole in a swimming pool that sucked him in during a work party in Israel.
While staff were enjoying and socialising in the pool, a sinkhole suddenly opened up and swallowed all of the water. Pool floaties are seen being dragged by the water into the sinkhole.

MAN SWALLOWED IN POOL SINKHOLE IDENTIFIED
The man was identified as Klil Kimhi, who was taken in by the water as the sinkhole opened up an inground swimming pool.
According to The Times of Israel, Kimhi was swallowed into a 13-metre hole on Thursday evening. This is apparently due to malfunctions in infrastructure. It took rescue teams four hours to find Kimhi. He was unfortunately found dead.
Another man was nearly swallowed too, but he quickly managed to climb out. He suffered slight injuries to his lower body and was treated at the scene by paramedics.
One of the attendees said there were around 50 people at the party before the sudden tragic event happened.
“The water level suddenly started receding and a hole opened up, creating a vortex that swept two people inside.”

Another witness said Kimhi was swallowed in a matter of seconds. At the time of the incident, only six people were inside of the pool.

VILLA OWNERS PLACED UNDER HOUSE ARREST FOR UNLICENCED POOL
The owners of the villa, where the party was held, reportedly failed to obtain a permit for the unique pool.
Police reportedly interrogated the owners of the villa for suspected culpable homicide.
CBSNews reports that a man and woman, both in their sixties, are placed under house arrest for five days.
The private party took place at the couple’s home in the town of Karmi Yosef, southeast of Tel Aviv.
Meanwhile, tributes poured in on social media for the sudden death of Kimhi.
“Just yesterday we sat together on the edge of the pool talking about life. I wish I could turn back time and take you to the far side of this cursed pool for our conversation, with some gin and tonic on the side,” wrote one of the attendees, Shachar Mevorach.
