The CSK took to Twitter on Friday to post a video featuring winning moments of the final. ‘Moments that made the night special in #Yellove! #ReliveChampions23 #WhistlePodu’, the franchise captioned the video.
This was the first time in the history of the IPL that the final was played on the reserve day after rain washed out the original scheduled day.
Chennai chased down a rain-revised target of 171 in 15 overs. Ravindra Jadeja scored 10 runs off the final two balls in front of 80,000 fans at the world’s largest cricket stadium.
The MS Dhoni-led CSK also equalled the record of Mumbai Indians for winning the most number of IPL titles.
