Orlando Pirates midfielder Patrick Maswanganyi produced a man-of-the-match performance to inspire Orlando Pirates to a 1-0 victory over Kaizer Chiefs on Saturday afternoon.
Evidence Makgopa scored the only goal of the match to give the Buccaneers the bragging rights.

“We managed to win the game midweek and we won again today against Kaizer Chiefs in a derby and it’s very special for me,” Maswanganyi said after the game.

Maswanganyi, who was playing in his first derby, said it felt amazing to play in one of the biggest derbies in the world.
Chiefs interim coach said his team fell short on the day.
“A game maybe of two halves, I thought we had the better chances in the first half,” he told SuperSport TV.

“I thought we had a nice chance in the beginning but then they picked up and scored their first chance in the first half.
“We were ok in the second half, we should’ve scored late in the half but not to be. Congratulations to Pirates, they have the bragging rights now,” said Cavin Johnson after the derby.
