Post Malone is having another banner year.

The Grammy-nominated artist hit Studio 8H this week to serve as Saturday Night Live’s musical guest alongside host Selena Gomez. The gig, which marked Malone’s SNL debut, went down as fans countdown the days to his Twelve Carat Toothache album—the long-awaited follow-up to 2019’s Hollywood’s Bleeding.

Malone kicked things off with a performance of the previously released single “Cooped Up,” featuring Roddy Ricch.

Twelve Carat Toothache is set to arrive on June 3. Malone spoke about the project during his recent appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, shedding more light on why he waited so long to release another project.

“It’s a super strange thing. For the longest time, I lost my passion for making music,” he said. “You know, I’ve lost – I lost that drive. But then there was this moment, one moment that snapped—because it’s been three years, just about. And one moment that snapped and I said, ‘You know what? This is why I’m here, and this is what I want to do, This is what I was meant to do … make medium music for people to enjoy.”

Malone recently announced he and his girlfriend are expecting their first child together.

“I’m excited for this next chapter in my life,” he told TMZ about his family addition. “I’m the happiest I’ve ever been, and for since I could remember I was sad. Time to take care of my body and my family and friends, and spread as much love as we can every day.”
