Watch QUIN Connect With 6lack in ‘SCORPIA’ Visuals

Los Angeles-based artist QUIN returns with the premiere of SCORPIA, a “visual masterpiece” that celebrates her self-proclaimed “fantasy soul” sound.

The project is a medley of tracks taken from QUIN’s last three records, beginning with “Sea of Space,” from her 2016 EP GALACTICA. The scene shows QUIN falling in a dark abyss before it cuts to close-ups of her singing the track. It’s a fitting visual, as “Sea of Space” is said to represent the process of rebirth and highlight the journey toward self love.

The second scene is soundtracked by “Sailboat,” a standout track from QUIN’s sophomore project DREAMGIRL. An increasingly confident QUIN is shown singing to her real-life boyfriend, 6lack, as he falls more and more in love with her. Before the track ends, the two eventually embrace one another and create “an unstoppable force.”

The third and final scene centers on “Fav,” a 6lack-assisted single from QUIN’s 2019 effort LUCID. The couple dive in to a powerful duet that underscores their deep connection and love for each other.

“I’ve put in a lot of imagination, time, effort, love, feelings, memories, not so fun times, healing, all into the music I’ve made over the past six years and I want to honor all of it in the best ways I can,” QUIN wrote about SCORPIA. “… Thank you to every one of you that helped bring this dream to life. Thank you to my family, my best friends. Thank you @6lack for walking w me every step of the way, for being a solid partner through the craziest times, and for helping me produce my new favorite piece of work ever.”
