NEW DELHI: Gujarat Titans (GT) leg-spinner Rashid Khan has been the cynosure of all eyes whenever he is the middle and on Sunday it was no different when he grabbed everyone’s attention by taking a stunning catch in the outfield to get rid of dangerous Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) opener Kyle Mayers in an Indian Premier League (IPL) match at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

The incident occurred in the ninth over of the innings when Mayer went for a hook shot off paceman Mohit Sharma’s slower short ball but it got the top edge and went towards deep square leg. But an alert Rashid was quick to run across his right and dived to perfection to complete a stunning catch.

Mayers, who hit a quickfire 32-ball 48 with the help of 7 fours and 2 sixes, was going great guns at that time. But the spectacular effort in the deep by Rashid broke the crucial 88-run opening stand between Quinton de Kock and Mayers.
