Friday-Saturday. The Stanley Cup champion Colorado Avalanche are one of four teams playing in Tampere, Finland, this week for the annual NHL Global Series, which “rewards the legions of loyal and passionate fans in Europe,” according to the National Hockey League.

Their Bodies, their voices
Friday-Sunday. To join the rallying cry sweeping across the nation, as producers called it, Denver Women’s Chorus will perform “My Body, My Voice” Friday, Nov. 4-Sunday, Nov. 6. The concert is a post-Roe v. Wade response that raises voices “in anger, protest, and solidarity.”
“The LGBTQ chorus sings in support of bodily autonomy and reproductive rights,” organizers said, Nov. 4-5 at Denver’s Central Presbyterian Church, and Nov. 6 at the Broomfield Auditorium. Concerts begin at 7:30 pm nightly and 3 p.m. on Sunday; Saturday’s matinee features ASL interpreters. Denver Arts Week’s 400-plus events
Friday-Nov. 12. This year’s 16th Denver Arts Week, which offers 400-plus deals and events supporting the city’s cultural scene, is back with new programming. The Buell Theatre, the home of touring Broadway productions and other shows, will offer installations tied to Día de los Muertos and Native American Heritage Month, while Colorado Convention Center Public Art Tour’s 2 p.m. slot on Sunday, Nov. 6 ($5 per person; 10 and under free) looks at some of the city’s most iconic sculptures.
A reception for the “Calaveras en Mi Ciudad” show includes a reception and performance by Lolita on Wednesday, Nov. 9, from 6-8 p.m., in the Buell Theatre lobby. There’s also the special Denver Arts Week Artist Talk and tour with Melanie Yazzie, noon-1 p.m. on Nov. 11, as well as First Friday events and the free Night at the Museums on Saturday. Veterans Day parade, fest back for first time since 2019
Saturday. For the first time since 2019, the Colorado Veterans Project will host the in-person Denver Veterans Day Parade & Festival on Saturday, Nov. 5, at Civic Center park, “to celebrate our nation’s heroes and raise funds to support local veterans,” organizers said.
The 14th annual Denver Veterans Day Run will take place next weekend (on Nov. 12) with both in-person (at City Park) and virtual opportunities for runners to complete either 5K or 10K races.
