The Dallas Mavericks made a head-scratching blunder during Wednesday night’s game against the Golden State Warriors.
Golden State inbounded the ball from underneath its basket. However, there was no Dallas defender to be found.
The Mavericks were defending the wrong basket at the other end of the court. Kevon Looney dunked the ball for the easiest two points of his life.
Here’s a look at the bizarre play:

Scoring isn’t even that easy in the All-Star Game.
Even when defending the right hoop, the Warriors and Mavericks engaged in a high-scoring contest at American Airlines Center. Both teams have tallied at least 30 points in each of the first three quarters.
The Warriors have made more than half of their field-goal attempts, most of which have at least involved a Mavericks defender in the general vicinity. With 10 points, Looney is one of six Golden State players to reach double-digits.
Dallas will especially feel awful if those two points decide the game. Golden State has a 123-122 lead with less than a minute remaining.
