Wavy interiors are officially out, and this Anthropologie x Sarah Gordon edit is the springtime homeware alternative you need

0

The Anthropologie x Sarah Gordon collaboration is online now, and it’s upped the anti of our spring homewares wishlist significantly. Previously, we’d been lusting after those Matisse-style modern art prints – the ones with the pastel flowers that everyone and their next door neighbour has copped onto. And, elsewhere, those Ichendorf Milano glasses that, when a small batch made their way into TK Maxx, we heartbreakingly missed out on. Reader, we were settled in for a seriously gloomy February (with little inspiration for a March interiors freshen up) when we caught word of this dopamine-conjuring collection from Sarah Gordon and Anthropologie. Praise be, February is redeemed.

If you’re not well versed in the world of contemporary arts, Sarah Gordon is renowned for her printing work on paper and textiles. Her pieces focus on the natural world, with centre points varying from botanicals and insects to sea life and birds. In the US, Sarah has worked with Anthropologie to create not only homewares, but fashion pieces, too (and we’re incredibly jealous of this sweater tank that they’re lucky enough to get their hands on). However, while those across the pond have said sleeveless number to brighten up their spring wardrobes, we have been treated to one fashion new arrival in the brand’s SG edit… It would be fair to say that it, a graphic tee available in size XS through to 3X in the plus size range (all of which are still in stock), is going straight in our baskets.

Back to home decor, the Sarah Gordon x Anthropologie collection features kitchenware, decorative pieces and soft furnishings, with the glassware (in our ever humble opinions) being the star of the show. See this glass pitcher for instance; filled with a bunch of peonies, arranged together with some foliage, this piece makes for a perfect new window accessory and has the potential to brighten up sun-starved spaces and dimly decorated rooms alike. Other standout picks in SG’s brand-new edit? It’d be wrong not to spotlight this floral-heavy duvet cover. Maximalist? Check. At once muted and punchy? Double check. We love everything about it and, we have to say, it’d look just darling with these Bed Threads scalloped cushion covers.

While we’re suckers for Anthropologie’s usual haul of wide leg trousers (if you haven’t yet peeped the Anthropologie Maeve Colette cropped wide-leg pants, get peeping), women’s ruffle shirts and the like, this homeware collab has got us all sorts of excited. Fashion, who is she? This spring is all about interiors, and we’re prioritising Sarah Gordon’s natural treasure-laiden designs. adds rug, curtains and accent chair to basket.
