Wayne Rooney to be a witness in Coleen v Rebekah court battle

England football legend Wayne Rooney will give evidence in wife Coleen’s legal feud with another English footballer Jamie Vardy’s wife Rebekah at London’s High Court. According to The Daily Mail, Rooney will be questioned about the information he had in his wife’s investigation into the WAG row.

In 2019, Coleen, 35, accused Rebekah, 40, of leaking stories about her on social media. Though the trial is set to take place on May 9, there are no exact details of when Rooney will be called in. But it is learnt that he will be questioned by barrister Hugh Tomlinson, representing Vardy, and David Sherborne, who is fighting for Coleen.

“Wayne is 100 per cent going into the witness box and this is just going to add to the drama of the whole occasion. [Hugh] Tomlinson is a very experienced barrister and this could be one of the toughest opponents Wayne has ever faced. Rebekah’s lawyers are adamant that he should be cross examined on how much he knew about what Coleen was getting up to and that the truth will emerge,” said a source.
