The striker hasn’t played since the start of December in the 2-1 defeat to Everton having been stripped of the captaincy.
Arteta has punished him for a ‘disciplinary breach’ thought to be regarding returning late from a trip abroad which the club approved.
Latest reports suggest Arteta has now banished the Gabon international from training with the first team as his exile continues.
‘It hasn’t really looked it on the scoresheet. We’ve been playing well,’ White told talkSPORT.
‘Obviously it’s disappointing for Auba but we’ve all got our heads down and we’re working hard.
‘He’s a really nice guy, we all miss him, but it is what it is.’
Arsenal have coped well without their former captain though with the likes of Gabriel Martinelli and Emile Smith Rowe getting on the scoresheet.
Arteta will be without Aubameyang through January too when he heads off to the Africa Cup of Nations but White is confident the remaining players can step up.
‘We’ve got a young team, there are so many squad members who can play and the guys who have been playing have been performing,’ added White.
‘Aaron [Ramsdale], B [Bukayo Saka], Emile [Smith Rowe] – we’re getting really close together and all we want to do is win, and trying to get into the habit of doing that is important.
‘We’re building our way up slowly and we’re hoping to be there [back in Europe] this season, but we’re taking each game as it comes, we’re not getting ahead of ourselves.
‘We’re doing well at the moment, but that might change. We’re just trying to get three points in every game, and then move onto the next one.
‘We’re focusing on ourselves. The teams around us are going to do their best, and we’ll be doing the same.’
